    Lightbulb Advice needed

    hey there 4 stroke guys...

One of my riding buddy's is after some further upgrade advice..

    The situation so far..
    2008 SHO around 35hrs
Full Riva RPM kit with the exception of a rideplate..
    prop is a 13/22 skat

Late in the season last year a Motec M400 was added (supplied by the local Motec dealer)

NO other mods were installed with the motec..
At the moment it is running somewhere in the 74-76mph range.. (GPS numbers tomorrow)

He's called up the local dealer and a mob called line one..
    Here:. http://www.lineonedist.co.uk/
They are quoting circa $1100 for a Riva E1 wheel (yeah right)

Unfortunately the dealer is not geared towards upgrades or even offering advice..

    So here we are..

I've suggested to him an E1 or the like.
Also that an upgraded intercooler would be required sooner than later..

    Now are upgraded injectors suggested..??
Or can something else be done..?? (rrfpr.?? upgraded fuel pump..??)

the budget is max $2000 for the next round of mods..??

Ideas and suggestion are seriously required.. (i'm not really up to speed on these 4strokes yet)

What i can report is last year when i had it out for a blast it performed really well..
But felt like it needed something more..

Also if it was getting tossed around hard..
On a couple of occasions it bogged down badly to the point of almost cutting out..
It had to be feathered along for a good few seconds then it would clear out and go again..

It felt like fuel starvation to me..????
    Ideas..??

    Thanks Guys
    Gerry

the E1 makes a lot of boost and thus it requires a lot of fuel

you would need to also replace the injectors (RRFPR or upgraded fuel pump is not required)

and a much better intercooler would be required

you might even consider a SC with less boost so the gas mileage wouldn't suffer as much, maybe a R&D C3 (just depends what you want to use the ski for) with a smaller SC wheel you probably wouldn't need to upgrade the injectors

    ?

    Hmmmm..???

    Thanks Philip..

    So a C3 and a decent intercooler.
Then add a different tune to the Motec..??

This ski will be a rec ski only..
Lots of grudge racing against pretty much anyone who fancies their chances..
(for nothing other than bragging rights.. don't know why but seadoo/kawi guys don't take defeat too well over here.?)

Any thoughts on the bogging issue i experienced last year.?
