Energy Market in CT
this is a good read on why CT electricity is so expensive.
As someone who is learning all about the free market power industry and seeing how this is shaping up, I would not be surprised if 5-10 years from now it is again a regulated industry.
(IMHO, UI has more idiots running the show than one can count.. and NU has the F U bully mentality so this really isnt too surprising.)
Before you guys jump to a different supplier, one thing the article doesnt mention, there may a periodical surcharge imposed on you by UI or NU for repair or maintenance, because after all it is their line connected to your house. Double check, because that cost plus the new rate may be higher than the rate from the local provider. i could be wrong, but thats how it was explained to me.
