    rxp-x, running sluggish

I have an 08 rxpx, fizzle intake, intake grate, solas 15/22, and a free flow exhaust. Well i took it out yesterday and it seemed to be running fine. Usually hits 70 on the speedo(not gps) at about 3/4 throttle and now it only wants to do 68-69 tops. Only seeing about 7200-7300 rpms. Well this happened after i punched it from a dig, and it seemed to have hit a few waves and kinda got outta the water and seemed to over rev twice. Its not missing or stuttering, Just not that fast anymore. Probably feels slower than stock. Just looking for some ideas as to where to start looking for the problem.

were you in shallow water when you punched it? Check your sc and wear ring.

Take off the coupler and make sure the sc wheel does not spin freely. Did you inspect the pump and prop already?

Pull the SCer and check slip and reset to 10-12ft/lbs if the clutches are still there. Maybe a rebuild is needed if run hard with low slip. Clutches can crack and gear wear is a reason for rebuild.

Last time I saw one go. Seemed to run fine, put on the trailer for the day. Next time out it dropped the cracked washer in the engine. No boost.

Something else to check is your intercooler plumbing. Be sure hoses are on.
