From the numbers stamped on the cam
Last two digit numbers
(28 ) 2004 cam
(29) 2005 cam
(51) 2006-2009 including X

28 cam is the best stock cam to have but not all the 04s had it, some had the 29.
Obviosly the aftermarket cams will offer even more than the 28 stock cam.

Maybe you could see a difference on a dyno or full race ski. On a REC ski I doubt you will notice much of a difference. If you think a cam is going to give you more top speed, kinda of doubt it. Still running a stock 08 cam, unported head, and exhaust manifold in my ski, so if you can't do 85 on a RXP or PX with a stock cam than AM cam isn't going to help you either. JMO

The 04 camshaft is not about top speed is a better acceleration and midrange you will feel the differences; if you remove your 08 camshaft you will never put it back

my 04 has the 29 cam, at least thats the last two numbers stamped on it
