    1200 super stock triples build!!

    Ok,Im starting a new thread build! First off thank you to everyone who has stayed on the phone answering my dumb ?'s and evrybody else for the great deals I have came across.....With that said..I went a diffrent way with this project. I grabbed a 1200 ported Riva super stock motor at a great price. I picked it up last nite with brand new flat top pistons installed. I also picked up my 07 H/O pump and have a 14/20 DF prop on the way. Triple pipe setup is complete and I also recieved my vf3 gaskets. I wa so pumped last nite when I got home I set up and air matress and pillow next to the motor and fell asleep stareing at it.... Wife is jelous LOL. Hull is stripped and ready for tunnel reinforcments. Im guessing for now I'll just run stock carbs with jetting.. Wish I had more funds for carbs. I also have to figure what octane this setup needs???? Cant afford high fuel prices. I was hoping I can get domes for these somewhere because Riva no longer has them.. Thanks please add any advise and ideas you may have.........wish me luck

    Thanks Kevin and Pat! Woody you know I will take you up on that "Call Anytime Offer" . Pat, Your heads are already set up for flat top super stocks...What octane were you setup for with those? I'm thinking that may be the way to go since I can no longer get domes for these Riva Heads!!! I'm trying to measure the squash or however you say it now! Also I received a PM about if I had to run a light weight fly wheel or not with this setup???? Anybody know about this????

    Looking Good!!!

    Frank, That thing looks like a million. That is going to be a wild ride.

    I got my cylinders and head put on last weekend. Also putting a ported 760 together for my WB2. Hadn't heard back from the guy with the light weight fly wheel yet.

    smacota1 That looks awsome. What heads and domes are you using? If you have another of those flywheels I will deff buy one I pulled my stock 02 pump tonite and confirmed I will need a longer shaft! Going to post a wanted ad. Thank I could change mid shaft correct?

    yo, remember , I will help you out with that shaft, check your intermediate first. But might not need to do anything if you still plan on coming up and picking up the other thing from me. Let me know.

    Help

    I started to mock up motor! Have a ? when i put the kevlar seal into the flange they over lap. Do these need to be cut? Are they always to long? Also any leads on a place to buy the rubber lords? Factory is way to expansive. Thanks Frank

    Just read factorys instructions. says they have to be 7 1/4 Mine are 8 doesnt say to cut though. I'm nervouse about this. Anybody else had to do this? Also im installing the stator cover on and was wondering how long do the mags last? Should I replace this? believe there was about 60 hrs on the one im using. But not 100% sure.
