    RXP Modifications Advice Needed!

I have a stock 2006 Seadoo RXP with about 40 hrs on it.

The only mod to the ski is uprated washers fitted on 0 hours when i bought the ski new. I am currently looking to upgrade the ski's performance slightly and hopefully closer to that of an X.

I have been in touch with my local tuning shop and they have recommended for a basic upgrade to have my prop repitched and fit a new sc blade which would produce around 11 ib boost. i have been told that this wouldn't affect the reliability of the ski and wouldnt damage the engine.

I am looking for some advice as to if this would give me much performance / bhp gain and also if this will put more strain on the motor and cause it to break?

Help would be much appreciated or other ideas on simple mods that wouldn't sacrifiace reliabiltiy.

    Thanks

You could always get the Riva Gen 2 supercharger impeller 9-10psi..Its a drop in wheel no mods required if your running stock ic...Need to ditch the stock air intake system and do a 4 inch kanaflex setup. That a get ya by for now..Others should put there input in on other things

I am no expert on motors etc but if i were to fit a new sc blade then would i need to fit a new intercooler to keep the engine running at a lower temperature due to the increase in boost?

Its not needed when running that low of boost....You can if you want but you will have to up grade your injectors...not worth it untill you run a bigger charger

I guess the first question would be, what kind of speed are you looking for and what kind of money are you looking to spend??

    Hi

I was debating weather to sell the rxp and spend the extra on picking up an x for the increase in performance but if i can do certain mods to take it near a stock x i would be happy. money wise probably $3000 tops?

    whats your thoughts?

i agree...x boats are cool if you leave them alone......the give you a good bang for stock...but when you start modifying the x boats have problems with something called overstuff....

looking for x boat performance and reliability ...

    riva s3 charger...wheel and housing ....800
42 lb injectors...stock x boat used if you can find them ..are fine...150ish or less 200 new

    fizzle intercooler kit...like 500
    fizzle 4 inch intake ...190
speed freaks intercooler bracket...225 ish ..

    15/20 solas prop 280 ish..

exhaust set up sounds cool 350

    2250

you should be able to easily run 75 ish ..maybe more..but the biggest difference is the acceleration you will feel...

think i am still well under..3000...that is basically what an x boat it..but you will have 5 mph on him
