I thought the official story was a weather balloon or street light. I mean it was visible for almost 15 minutes, awfully long time for a "meteor".

What are the lines on either side of the flash. They appear to be jet trails but why would fast moving jets be chasing a meteor?

Fast moving smaller meteor pieces, or the jet trails were already there and just suddenly illuminated by the meteor flash

That is jet wash..But the one on the left is/was going in the opposite direction as the meteor..The one on the right is probley just a passenger jet in route to its destination...

Maybe the jet had to turn around when the "meteor" changed direction.
