    8-vane stator

Hey all, I just got the pump n props in the mail... heres some pics,, tell me what ya think. I need a ring to run the thing though. a 146mm ring I think.

If I need more horses, next year we can tweak the engine or maybe get it running in the SLX. (1200). This is a future project.

Yep, the stub shaft is broke off in 1 of those props. yes, thats the ugliest stub shaft for a polaris Iv'e ever seen.lol
    the props looks great.

    WHERES THE PICS!??

looks like the leading edges were filed a little to clean up the dings on the stator vanes.. The Trailing edges look great..

The bearings seem to roll good. I think thats ok. Anyone know the size of the bearings? Is the OD smaller?

Have you tried to locate a wear ring and extension?

Measure the size of the opening (inside of outer edge of stator) and the size of the exit.

Measure the size of the seal surface front and rear.
The front seal looks small,as well as the impeller hub. May be the parts used on 92-93 pumps.(sorry I don't have an old style pump handy)

Ok will do tomm. All the reading Iv'e done on this pump along with the 12 and 14 vane,,,It sounds like this pump should be easy to push. They highly reccomend using it for the hole shot..

They recommend using the 12 and 14 for rough water racing only..

I havent tried to locate the other parts yet thester. Not yet.

A machine shop should be able to get that piece out of the 1 prop. I have 2 other stub shafts so thats not a problem.

How in the world did that get broken off in the prop anyways? Any ideas?

Maybe jkindt has some 92-93 parts I could use..

Locked up bearings in the pump, incorrect pump alignment, wood or rocks jamming the impeller, metal fatigue, bent stub shaft or impeller shaft...

i dont think he had that listed in his add ,

if your haveing second thoughs i would return to seller

but that shaft breaking would be hard to get out for the average guy , i would weld a bolt on the shaft and loosen it out

By Pure power when the 785 is bouncing in and out of the water and that pump comes unloaded at over 8000 rpms and then comes back into the water at that rpm it will snap a stock stub shaft also could be alignment
