    Addicted's SL750 780 project (56k no way)

I think I am just as excited about this as he is. He grabbed up a bunch of goodies from me. I think he can build one heck of a sleeper 780. Maybe he can outrun Al's Barbie ski? haha

First some PRO785 carbs, with flame arrestor, intake manifold and reeds:

Then some prototype custom triple pipes:

Add in an Ocean Pro 780 head:

And some SERIOUSLY ported cylinders. Here are a few pics. Ported on teh left, stock on the right:

Here is just the ported cylinder. Notice it's machined fro O-rings?

Notice they are WELDED on the outside! That is some serious porting.

I hope he gets it all together this fall/winter for a cool sleeper this spring.

    Aaron

I was looking for this thread. What section is this?

Anyway, As I see it right now, my first step is going to be The PRO intake(I have a love affair with 44's) and the dry pipe from a 92 with the pro CDI. That's first because my season is almost over and it should be fairly east to do. Besides, thanks to my new borescope, I found out that 105 main jets are not enough for my engine with the OP flame arrestors(no piston wash!) so the carbs have to come out anyway. Then over the winter I'll get cranking on the. . . TRIPPLES!!!!

I can't remember what size jets I got in mine. I have three different sizes somewhere. I think 105's are the biggest I got. What size are you suposed to be running with the 750 with the stock pipe and OP flame arrestors? I'm pretty sure I got the stockers, 95's, 102.5's and 105's kicking around. I'll have to see which ones are missing and then I'll know what's in there without tearing it a part.

Stock was 95's. Ken at op said just open the needles an extra 1/2 turn. I ended up needing more gas. Got the 105's last year and it was good, but i added a scoop grate late this season and the added load is likely the cause. Also, this is most of a +1mm SBT engine, so the displacement is around 760.

Sounds like we could have a celebrity challenge Billy Madison VS Barbie.
