    Just thinking outside the box...

Has anyone considered changing the gear ratio of the supercharger drive? Seems like Riva or R&D could do this quite easily to achieve higher boost at lower rpm. It might be too much strain on the components but its something to think about and would be an easy way to increase boost.

Why would you want more boost at lower RPM?

On a car that goes through gears and RPMs it makes sense but on a ski RPM are near redline the whole time you accelerate...

i think the idea is to spin the impeller higher to make more boost, would provide more HP throughout the complete rpm range including at wot

it's already at 10 to 1 so at 8000 rpm's that wheel is spinning 80000 rpm's you change the gear ratio i think you will put the one way clutch on tremendous strain.

I can hear the clutch saying, "oh, go f*ck yourself!"

    gear

this is a good idea, u could run lower RPMs (less stress) and make more boost with a wheel. instead of making 15lbs at 8500 (high stress) u could make the same power at 8000 RPMs and 15lbs of boost and not have to rev so high just repitch prop bigger

It would not be the same amount of power at the lower engine RPM, if the boost PSI was the same.

It would need to be higher PSI at the lower engine RPM to deliver the same output power. And that could be more stressful to the engine internals than the higher RPM.

The 210 HP motor has already been taken to around 310 HP with stock internals. That's what, almost a 50% increase? Hell 16 pounds is already pushing the limits of the stock injectors. The wall we've all hit has nothing to do with boost. Just my .02.

Do you really have to goto 8000rpm when you have more boost on lower rpm ?? maybe 7500 or 7000 rpm is enough?!

Dont forget its not only about boost think CFM at boost pressure thats what you are looking for.

    Yes?
