    Riva Pump Extension and Wedge

Why does RIVA say not to run the two together?

I found running the 2 together caused excessive porpousing..

my ride plates do not porpus and have been on ski's that have run speeds from 75 to 89mph. my ride plates never need to be shimmed to stop porpusing (because they don't porpus) i have found that if you use a set back pump with my ride plate it will scrub top speed. my ride plates do not like the set back pump.

Nope... but I have run it with the riva O/L plate, and the Jim's closed loop plate... without issues (as far as porpoising).

    Hey Eric-

You mean pump extension or do you mean what you are typing--- setback pump.

So the plate scrubs speed and the wedge causes porpousing with the pump extension..... ?

I personally can't say that either one of those statements are true or false. However... I'll say this... if your only looking for top speed numbers, and nothing else... the extension is a waste of your time & money! If your looking for a killer holeshot, and awesome hook-up in the chop... then you definitely want one
