lightly sand, clean with soap and water, dry off well, tape them up, use metal cast primer first, 3 coats to cover, then 3 coats of red metalcast paint.

did you completely removed the old paint? or just sand it rough for the primer to stick?
I've tried to sandblast some of my engine parts, but the paint just wont come off easy.

and also, where did you locally purchase the paint?

paint was bought at your local auto store. i just scuffed it up. then make sure you completly cover the parts with the base primer real well or else it wont look good. 3 coats primer 3 coats paint let dry in between coats.
