    2005 rxp running lean

Sorry if this is a supid question but ive used the search and cant really come up with the answer im looking for. Ok, so i just got my rxp this friday its an 05 with 71hrs i got it for $5500 it has genII intercooler, some sort of sc upgrade at 11-12lbs with spacers(not sure if its a wheel or what?), riva valve upgrade, blow off valve, ride plate and intake grate, and opas eliminator, stock injectors and ecu. I rode it around before i bought it and it seemed to be good but when i took it home and pulled the plugs they looked white/gray with very little brown. i wanted to know if putting the 42# injectors would fix the problem and would i have to do anything to the ecu or do i just install the injectors and call it a day?

cant do plug chops on a 4 stroke....That color is 100% normal. You need to measure AFR before riding it blindly (not knowing the set up).

With the set-up your describing... you need 42# injectors and a RRFPR... all dialed in with an LM-1, LM-2, or LC-1 a/f meter. All of these a/f meters can be found here:

I found out what was done to the charger its the R&D RXP C5 Monster Charger Wheel, Spacer, Front Housing. so what would be a good afr? and do i need the rrfpr with the 42's cause its a little out of my budget at the moment

At 11+ pounds of boost with an external IC... you definitely need 42# injectors, along with a RRFPR

Pull the J-pipe and take a look at the exhaust manifold bell... that right there will tell you if the ski has been running lean or not

Oooo too lean and bad, bad things happen. I have a Polaris 750 and when we bought it all was fine, ran great. After a week or 2 I went to start it one morning and it had no power and a bad miss. Just all of a sudden. Ran great the day before. Come to find out the fuel pump was going bad, and leaning out. Long story short, new piston, rings and sleeve.. Burned a hole right through the top of the piston and melted the rings, scaring the crap out of the sleeve. So remember a little rich is ok, but lean is a no no! Id rather replace plugs than a piston any day!
