Question about Blow off valve
Hey folks. I need some assistance, but think I figured it out. Setup is 07rxt, with X charger, 15/18 prop, external cooler, Riva 3" intake, X intercooler with Riva piping, riva intake grate, X waterbox, and freeflow exhaust.
With 15/20 prop rpm 7400 max, 66.2mph max ran with stock exu
With 14/17 prop rpm 72-7300 max 63.5mph max ran with stock ecu
With 15/18 prop rpm 76-7700 max 64.3mph max ran with stock ecu
With 15/18 prop rpm 8020 max 66.9mph ma ran with Riva ecu
After a very disappointing day I noticed while flushing the engine (engine idling), there was a lot of air blowing through the BOV filter. I think and hope that this is the source of my rpm loss and boost loss. Is this normal, I don't think so.
Will be putting on a boost gage tomorrow. Will the reading from boost obtained from gauge be accurate with revving on a hose. Will not be able to ride til weekend.

Will try removing the BOV. Is it adjustable with the allen key on top. Will That control opening pressures. It almost seems like the BOV is stuck open. Are you supposed to feel boost blowing through BOV at idle?

IMO if you really want to use the BOV tune without it then youll know if theres a problem when you hook it up. IMO sounds like it isnt working.

Get a flat piece of aluminum, draw out the flange and make one. Sounds like the bov is shot!
