    Schrader Valve Failure MSX 140

    Anybody had this happen before??

The brass body of the Schrader valve blew right out of the plastic tee on the hp fuel line. It appears to be knurled and pressed in place. It happened at a really bad time " LIKE WHEN A ALIGATOR WAS SWIMMING BY" !!!! I lifted the seat and plugged the hole with my thumb and got da hll out of there !!!

So should I order a new one or fix the original?
Who's to say the new one won't do the same thing?

I have heard of that happening before

Did you have a cap screwed onto the schrader valve?

I don't know whether Polaris ever made an improved version of that valve tee.

You can go aftermarket. Not sure where to find one, though. Haven't looked
Have alook at automotive fuel injection parts (GM). Some fuel pressure test kits include a schrader valve tee.

According to Bernie, the OEM schrader valve tee has slightly incorrect nipple sizing. The nipples are designed for a larger 5/16" hose size than all the other 1/4" nipples in the fuel system, so in OEM form the hose is slightly stretched to fit the tee nipples.

Lets see a picture of the Tee. I might be able to direct you to something that may work.

I've deceided to just go with a butt to butt connector and just eliminate the tee and a chance of another failure, I just don't have time for these petty failures at inconvient times.

It would still be good to know of an alternative part that is better made then the OEM schrader valve tee.

Um, that isn't a valve, just a tee.
