    SHO original boost pressure

    Hello guys,

Could anyone tell me what is the stock boost pressure on a SHO engine ?

I can only find info on the boost pressure after C1 / C2/ C3 wheel kit modification , but what is the max pressure stock ?

    thanks

Bone stock with no intake or exhaust mods, depending on weather, you will be around 6 pounds. Throw on an intake and exhaust and the intake manifold upgrade, and you'll pick up a full pound or more of boost. That will take you to around 7+ psi.

It's been a while since I was stock, so if I'm off, someone please correct me.

Is that with your Type 19 IC hitman? I was thinking the SHO was 5 psi stock?

I didn't have a boost gauge on my ski until recently and I have not started it yet this year (awaiting more parts).

Not taking my intercooler into account. I'm saying bone stock ski is between 5.5 and 6 pounds if memory serves me correctly.

Wow. How far have we come in a little over a year. That's crazy looking back at all that. Seems like ancient history. lolz

Back then we were worried about boost limiters, now we got the cot damn stock MAP sensor pegged. Love it.

Hitman was still diapers then ...lol.

I have the air filter and intake mod and I was 6.8-6.9 last weekend.

Is it possible by just changing the air filter (not the intake) I can be hitting the rev limiter? Last October I only had time to put the air filter on and I ran 65.5 which was down 1 mph from August. It was 50 degrees outside. There was defineatley a better sound from the engine which could have been my imagination. Could the cold weather affect the boost/performance that much?

    Thanks.
