I have seen that the intake grates fail on these ski's. Could some one detail how and why? Also would you be able to tell me a solid fix?... Bob

Are you talking RXT or T-X? I cut the outter winds off the stock grate and picked up a couple mph. Seems to be holding up fine.

The RXT and RXT-X have two totally different setups. You can not transfer data between the two different intake grates. Basically, what the weak point is on the RXT is only one bolt on the rear of the intake grate bolts to the ride plate. The other two bolt into inserts that are in the plastic shoe.
On T-X the all 3 rear bolts on intake grate bolt to ride plate.

Question about this bolt going in the ride plate on a rxt/gtx.
Anyone attempted to drill trough the ride plate to use a longer bolt and install a nut at the end or if we would drill trough antifreeze passages??

The 215 set-up is junk! I am upgradng to the X (255) pump shoe, grate and rideplate in the Fall. SaeDoo bombed this, in my opinion.
