Strong gas smell after kanaflex install, suggestions?

I'm noticing a gas smell in the front of the ski after my kanaflex install, ive looked at the hoses on top of the gas tank, and they look good. am i not checking hard enough? has anyone run into issues like this when doing intake installs?

Did you install a catch can?

Yes, you will get a gas smell if the crank case is venting in the hull and not in the original air intake or after market intake that recirculates it.

yes i installed the catch can, but i havent ran the ski yet. is there anything to check for seal wise with the hoses and the metal thing on top of the tank which im assuming is the fuel pump?

The metal thing you can see is the fuel pressure regulator, the fuel pump is actually inside the tank. Not really sure whar could be causing the Gas smell issue. R88

When you run your engine,a bit of exhaust fume will come out of the filter on the catchcan,a bit of white smoke.
This normally goes back in your airintake.
You may smell some fuel, since you have an open hose to your engine now.
This is nothing to worry about.

i suppose instead of a breather on top the catch can you could run a hose back to the kanaflex. I would think the oil would still drop out into the catch can. What do you all think? Might help evac the crankcase too?
