    Case sealing help!

I put my 66v bottom end together today. I have very little sealant if any in some places coming out. I dabed yamabond 4, couldn't find 1211 on both halves and on the outside edge of crankseals with my finger. There isn't enough to have to trim. I build alot off car engine and never had a failure but I guess the tolerances aren't as good on these and this is my first two stroke. Should I have any problems? I know preassure testing will show me if I have any leaks but if it is sealed now is there any chance of the case springing a leak later? I don't want to tear back down if its not needed. I also used blue loctite on the bolts.

Did you get all the pins on the bearings aligned properly? I generally get very little squeze out when I do mine. You do not want too much but if you had a light coat on both surfaces I would not worry, the truth will come out when you pressure test.

I got all the pins right, the case mated good with ease, I was just worried about not having enough sealant. Sorry for buging you today Bill but that sealant tacks quick and that seal stumped me where my old ones where designed different. I ended up installing with the metal side with the tabs out.

    Thanks Clint

Here is one I did over the weekend, you can see the seal direction, and how much 1211 squeezed out. It pressure tested fine it did lose a little more the na pund in 15 minutes but held it for almost an hour.

Thats about what my sealant looks like, maybe a hair less if not the same. That seal is what threw me. Yours is concave on the outside, mine is perfectly flat on the outside and concave on the inside but I did put those little tabs and the brass colored metal to the outside like you did. Mine is rubber on inside. Did they make different oem seals or maybe and updated one, or by some chance they give me wrong one? Yours looks like the manual and that is what had me all messed up.
