A few pics of my Throttle Body....!

Finally got around to taking it out and this is what it looked like
Cleaned it good with some TB cleaner and then lubed it with wd40 and does not get stuck anymore

In the last picture I stuck my fingers in there and there is a piece that moves, what is that by the way?

That is your intercooler. Man that TB looks horrible. You ride in salt? Do you ever flush with salt away?

The intercooler? No chit?.....Do you have to take that out when you get an external IC?

I just started using salt away a few weeks ago. But I have always flushed and rinsed the engine bay with fresh water.

Yes you remove the stock IC and install the supplied IC block off plug when using a Riva Power cooler...PR...

    I see.

Not the TB with salt away though!

    It has about 110hrs +

I did ingest water one time about 3 months ago.

It look a whole lot better now after the clean and lube.

How do you take out the stock intercooler? I might want to do that to rinse it good with some salt away.

make sure the edges of the throttle blade are not erroded or corroded. if it doesn`t seal right it could leak and throw off idle air bypass or IAC, or get stuck if there is a ridge formed from it. Keep in mind your not supposed to tamper with the throttle stop screw. also look at the integrity of the screws holding the throttle blade, if they still look strong, then you`ll be OK, if they too are corroded, you don`t want one of theose puppies coming off and getting sucked into the engine...PR...

Can this thing be rebuilt? The screws are a bit corroded and the blade edge is a bit corroded also. Ski runs fine though and idles fine too....

the idle air control will compensate up to a certain point. But something to think about repairing over the down season...

someone here posted a site that does throttle bodies, I hope someone can re-post that.I`d like to know more info about the larger sizes myself...PR...
