what do i need to run CR9EIX on a 260x?

Hi guys as you can see i am new to the forums. I know that the first thing that newbies are told to do is to search . I already did that. I realized I will need some screw type nuts for the CR9EIX plugs before i install them on a 2009 260x.

Is this true and will my stock PMR9B have that nut so i can reuse it on the CR9EIX? If not where can i buy it and what am I looking for exactly?

    thanks in advance

I have actually never heard of this issue as I always use PMR9Bs. That being said I went ahead and googled around.

    According to this link:

    http://www.ngk.com/more_info.asp?oth...31166&pid=3379

You need part #067606-0051 which is a universal terminal nut. I know the link above is not for the plug you mentioned but it should not matter since the terminal nut is universal.

Whether or not the factory PMR9B has a nut that you could use I do not know.

Good luck and welcome to the forum!

The PMR9B's have a solid terminal that cannot be removed. You need the terminal nuts. Sparkplugs.com and Amazon both sell them online but you'll pay more for shipping than for the nuts... I was able to find some at my local motorcycle shop for $.25 ea.

    Switch to CR9EKB's.
PMR9B is expencive and a bit unreliable
CR9EIX is a bit cheaper but also not very reliable
CR9EK is a great cheap and reliable plug ,its the choice of most ppl here but u need extra caps
CR9EKB is a CR9EK that comes ready with the caps.PM me to send u some.

In OZ to get the bullet caps you go to a seadoo mechanic or dealership as seadoo remove the caps from there plugs as they dont need them and they throw them in the bin. so if you ask they just keep them for you.
