    Polishing Intake & Exhuast Questions

What are the advantages, or disadvantages to polishing intake and exhaust ports?

If it's safe then how "smooth" should I make the surface?

For reference I will be riding in choppy water, at variable speeds and RPM's.

Hey saw your post in this section... Waz up yamies! You want the intake rough like 80 grit and the exhaust smooth as glass. The carb inlet and the intake inlet should match perfect after.

The roughness makes the fuel tumble for good atomization and the exhaust being smooth, gets the burnt gases out quicker. no resistance. good luck
