    93 polaris sl 750

Im sure I posted something before lol, but i cant find it so ill give it a go again.
I traded my old truck for a 93 polaris sl 750, it makes a noticable rattling sound somewhere near the impellor or in the impellor. Is that normal?

your bearings might need to be replaced in the pump... but my old 94 650 made rattling noises out of the water.. in the water they should be less noisy.. my sltx also rattles a bit when the pump is out of the water

Out of the water it sounds like a box of rocks...

A lot of the noise is from the drive shaft splines rattling from the engine power pulses.

The impeller acts like a loose flywheel at the end of the drive shaft, and sometimes you can also hear the impeller blades ringing.

If you thickly grease the drive shaft splines at both ends before you re-assemble the jet pump, it reduces the noise, for a while.

Don't bother with a big engine swap into your SL750.

It is much easier, and cheaper, to sell your running PWC, and buy one with a bigger motor.

Enjoy it as it is. When you want to go faster, move up to a newer model with more power.

i had a 94 sl650.. and when that died.. i was looking to swap a 1050 into it... but its easyier and more cost effective to my a sl 1050 like i did..

    the blue fugi 650, 750, 780 and 785 are different from the red domestic 700, 800, 900, 1050 and 1200's
