    Spark plug help!

    Hey guys

I bought a 2004 RXP a few weeks back, and I wanted to do some routine maintenance on it before i took it to the lake!

I pulled the plugs out, and all 3 of the spark plug terminals (the silver piece on the top of the plug) are STUCK in the coil. Any idea how to get these out? The threads must have ripped out because I cant get the old plugs to thread back into the terminal. I tried getting in there with needle nose pliers but i cant seem to get enough grip. I really dont want to buy new coils!

I want to go to the lake today please help me! lol

The plugs don't use the terminal tips at all, and don't thread into the coils ... the coils just press on over the threaded tip. You must buy spark plugs with the threaded tips, and if they come with the screw on terminals, you remove them before installing. You are fine ... just get new plugs, install and go.

I don't think they are stuck in there! You are SUPPOSED to unscrew and REMOVE the top of new NGK spark plugs before installing them! At least on 2005-2010 that's how they work!!!

Take your NEW plugs and unscrew the top and I bet they look just like your old ones!

Put them in and GO have FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once the metal piece is off the threaded part just slides right in

Dealers ... That is why no dealer has ever touched any of my skis ... most employ morons unfortunately.

Good luck, hopefully your coils are still fine.
