    Gas mileage 185hp VS 215hp

Why is it that the 185hp engine burns so much more fuel than the SCIC engine? It turns less rpms, has less hp, and you would think that means less of a thirst for fuel. I rode yesterday with my friend who has an 06 RXT and at the end of the day i had 1/4 tank and he had a half. Does an intercooler make the engine that much more efficient to the point of using 25% less fuel?

efficientcy my friend. until you get the prop issue correct, you will not achieve peak efficientcy even when light on the throttle...PR...
I can still get 3.5-4.0 hours out of a tank if riding moderately, now if I mash it all the time, the fuel will disappear quickly ...PR...

I ride in the chop almost all the time and i can make a tank last 8 hours if i try. I normally don't do a lot of long WOT runs unless i'm in the glass.

Damn 8hrs that`s freakin great!... I never tried that, where I ride in the river is pretty calm with ripples or slight chop most of the time, unless it is very windy, then it gets like the bay...PR...

surely you mean 8 hrs. on the water and not 8 hrs running time. 4 hrs. is about the most possible if your running over 35 mph.

my gtx sc and rxp are in perfect running condition and the sc consitencly gets worse gas consumption. The service manual even reflects this. I think about 60 minutes WOT for rxp and 53 or so minutes WOT for the sc.
