Data Logging Setup: The first steps to data addiction.

    1. You need this on your PC to extract the data file from the ECU: http://www.motec.com/filedownload.ph...exe?docid=3654
    2. You need this between your ECU and the PC.

    3. Connect the earth wire to the engine block or any similar earth point.
    4. Open the ECU Manager software.
    5. Click on Engine Project
    6. Click on File, Get Logged Data. The data will start downloading to your PC.
    7. At the end of the download, save the file, then delete the file from the ecu.

Okay now to read your file:
    1. Close the ECU Manager
    2. Open the I2 software
    3. Open File, Open Log File, select your file and double click or press enter

You should now have the data graph on the screen.

Edit: I'll start a new thread for this and correct or update this as time goes on.

    Hi
Is the Data logging enabled on your ECU??
You can check this by powering up the ECU And open ECU Manager. Look on the left side of the screen for ECU Options. It should say 512K logging or sample logging

Assuming you do have logging and if I read this right you need to then open i2 and then open the just saved log file that should be by default in c:\motec\Logged Data

There's yar problem. See first pic on left hand side. Shows 3 x options opened but not the data logging.

You just have to buy the password and open data logging.

    PM or email Motec Pete.

You'll be up and running in no time.
