    fuel pressure reg for base maps?

    hi, do u need a fuel pressure reg to run riva base maps on a vipec system?

    Yes I tried it without it and only got 75 mph then added the regulator and it went 77 mph that is with the fzr with stock supercharger

    and how bout the sensor kit...or is that just for logging and checking afr... or does the vipec use the sensor to compensate fuel and so on?

    I think the answers to your quesions will depend on

    1) what vipec map is being used (they recently added some additional maps, so just to ensure there is no confusion it would be better to stipulate which map you were using)

    2) what boost pressure is

    Riva makes their suggestions for fuel set-up on their vipec web site

    That is just for logging they don't recommend leaving the sensor in just to get the map were you want it then take it out. The vipic made a big difference in my fzr I am thinking of c3-11 and the duo prop they say there is no cavitation and you can use the stock pump.
