    00 gp12 clogged exhaust

so on the 2nd half of the nyc ride yesterday my ski wouldnt go over 5k rpm..myself and everyone there i talked to about it all suspected the cat clogging the exhaust. i put her into the garage today and pulled the exhaust off. fount the plate thats supposed to hold the cat empty with the cat all in one big clump a lil farther down the exhaust, also the sensor just to the rear of the cat is bent, not sure what it does but could this be a problem? ill put some pics up later

Clean out the exhaust of all the piece from the cat/con. Also check your water box if you suspect any pieces got in there. Looks like you have a 2000 GPR so you can order the riva cat sensor chip to get rid of your exhaust temp sensor http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...roducts_id=118 and then you can plug the exhaust temp. hole with 12mm X 1.25 automotive oil drain plug.

I agree catalytic converter failed and broke in pieces, very common issue. This is why the d-plate was made, and is so popular. You will need to pull the stinger and dig the pieces out of it and your water box.

With the exhaust removed now is a good time for the jetworks mod.

i reached into the waterbox from the exhaust side but couldnt find any more parts in there..inside of ther waterbox there is a large metal plate with holes in it but could the pieces be clogging behind that?

You got the big one. You can pull out the water box and shake it. You'll here it rattle but shouldn't cause another clog.

The pipe I was talking about is OEM pipe that has all the "fercho" mods done. The low-end grunt is great. see link above.
