    Cool gsx motor swap

so it turns out the gsx i bought for 300 bucks for a parts ski for my 96 xp is in better shape then my xp. it was covered in algae and mildew but i washed it and hopefully waxing it soon. it made it look alot better! im gonna do a motor swap and put the one out of my xp in the gsx and sell my xp with the blown motor out of the xp. i just got a few questions about this gsx. can a primer kit be installed on the same hole as the choke on the handle bar pads? and also what does the other button do on the handlebars i know one changes what the info center says but the other one dosent seem to do anything? or maybe its broke? haha idk.

You shouldn't have a problem mounting the primer kit on the handle bars,
just may be a pain trying to route the soft tubing through the hole at the
    base of the bars.

I bought the same ski (97) as a brand new left over in 99, If my memory
serves me correctly the other button has no function. I kinda miss spinning out on that thing.

Oh and btw, the handle bar cover is easy to find on eBay. I'm not sure if hydro turf makes one. I just bought a red one with a silver pad for thirty bucks
for a ski I'm building to surf ride with. You can usually pick up a red one fairly cheap, the black ones are a little more sought after and are usually 2-3 time the price.

the xp isnt in terrible shape but it has some nice gashes on the nose (thanks to letting my cousin use it) the inside is stained horrible from the oil and the vts cover it busted along with the top for the black box.
It has alot of sintimental value to it because that was my first ski but im ready to ride soemthing different. its not that i need the stability , i can hope on and off of the xp great and i love riding it but i jsut want something different, the bigger gas tank would be really nice and the gsx is bigger and i love to pick girls up at the lake they would fit alot better on a gsx. the more the merrier lol
im thinking about keeping it and building the blown motor and making it a lottle more peppy

I could be wrong , it's been a decade literally since I owned that ski.

I just picked up a gsx last winter really really cheap and fixed it up. That second button is for the chrono (timer) One button alternates between the screens then that other button makes the timer start when your on chrono. OTher than that it has no use. Also surprisingly no mph on the display, although its not like they are accurate anyway
