HOLY CRAP !! What happend ???

So Satruday I went out to enjoy my GP12r having tons of fun and after riding for about 3hrs i was at idle talking with someone else and decided to take off, when I hit the throtle the only thing that went was the drive shaft i think ??? All i hear is the engine screaming and a loud windey/grindy sound WTF ..... I was able to leave the engine at idle and the ski was able to move on its own power. but if i would accel it wont do anything what do you guys think ??

Well the way your describing, sounds like the splines in the mid-shift bearing.

Check the picture (Sorry the red arrow is soo small). Inside the midshaft there's splines and they can go bad. Also pull your pump and check the splines on the shaft. http://www.cajundude.com/jetpumpremovalimpeller.htm

seems like this problem is coming up every day with someone.

But yeah pull your pump and check the driveshaft splines. Nice splines will be uniform in thickness and be perfectly straight. You may need to buy a new driveshaft. As far as the intermediate shaft, you may need to replace that too.
