Ultra 150 oil line priming question

I just replaced all of my lines with Tygon, and primed them all up with a syringe.

While injecting the oil into the line from the pump side, after the line was full, I kept pushing a bit just to get some oil into the carbs and balance shafts. On one or two of them, it took a lot of pressure on the syringe to get oil to go in. Is this normal or do I have something that is plugged up?

I could be curious about where the air went that was in the oil line when you started injecting oil in the Tygon. When I inject my new lines I have both ends off. It is a little messy, but there is no air pushed into the carbs.

Wouldn't the air just leak out of the oil spout in the carb? Isn't that just open to the venturi of the carb? Unless there is some sort of valve or something, I am sure some oil even came out and went into the carbs. Am I incorrect in my though process?

I would suspect that the lines that required more pressure were going to the balance shaft bearings.

It takes 2 psi to open the valves for oil to go in, with the carbs, oil is injected in the carb but not into the venturi...it mixes with the fuel in the carb and then into the engine...Dont worry, when we put your motot back together, we will take all the nesscary steps to ensure oil is getting in your engine
