    I suspect

this is a user who lives in a country where the dealer may be a guy with a shack on the dock who had one shipped in.

I'd disconnect the battery for an hour, say a little prayer to Poseidon and hope for the best when I hooked it up again.

So does that mean that every ski that he sells that comes from the states wont get worked either. Dude take the shit back and demand your money back if he aint gonna fix it. Your ski should be under warranty. Its probably something as simple as a connection loose.

    gray market dot.com

depending on the arrangement the local distributor has with seadoo, they could actually refuse warranty service on a unit they did not import to the country. who bought the ski?..did you from a US dealer and now ask a local dealer to service it?

This gets very sticky. google "gray market".

what I suggest is contacting the selling dealer and make arrangements with them to have the warranty work performed by the local dealer billed to them and then they can get reimbursed by seadoo, as if the ski was serviced by the selling dealer.

Be warned....attiude is _everything_ when dealing with this "stuff".

No doubt seadoo won't be entirely pleased if the dealer isn't supposed to be exporting units overseas.

can I assume by initials you are in the United Arab Emirates?

Details on the transaction will help with advice, but since this is a rather delicate issue, I'd suggest getting with me by PM so I can provide some educated assistance on how to deal with your problem.

talk to the dealer you purchased it from first. You get seadoo involved right now and you might very well be on your own, with seadoo telling you " too bad" you need to have it serviced inteh country we shipped it to for sale.

you other fellows need to read up on gray market. it's a manufacturers RIGHT not to service products that were not distributed in accordance to their agreements in local companies.

If I buy a Sony PC model that isn't sold in the US from a US seller who has them brought in "under the table" , I have ZERO chance of getting any kind of service from Sony's national service center.

Since we still don't know all the facts here, read up on gray market so you'll know what the potential here can be.
