    Hard Steering issue with 260x

    Guys please help!

I have 260x with Speed magic rideplate, and 1 degree wedge in pump.

Problem with hard steering to left and right on speed with gas. Is it notmal?
How i can clear this problem for turning?

Probably your steering cable needs a replacement. It is basically a two metal pieces - inner cable (movable) & outer cable (fixed), and they go bad either by corrosion or kinked.

sure its not a TBM plate with the trim tab? or maybe something similar as anything touching the nozzle will have the issue you are speaking of

Keep in mind these don't have power steering. If you are giving it gas, the pressure is going to naturally want to push the nozzle straight. How does it feel when out of water? Does it feel like it hangs up or drags?

+1. This is normal from the thrust and big size of the ski.

My 2008 250x always seemed heavy after coming from my 15F,now I have a 2010 260X and done some extra mods compared to my old 250x and have the same thing that your experiencing,at full noise and attempting a sharp turn either left or right the steering feels heavy
It's just the sheer pressure being generated via the pump that makes it more difficult to turn, especially when you turn sharply
At even 1/2 -3/4 throttle the steering is quite easy
    Cheers
