    Case Pressure Test Question

I have a '97 SLTX 1050 that burned up the front piston. I'd like to pressure test the case for leaks.

I've learned that I need to block off the exhaust ports, but what about the intake ports? Can I leave the carbs and reed valves installed...will the reed valves block off any leakage through the intake system?

    Thanks, Kevin

No. Neither will seal air tight.

You need to seal the intake manifold and the exhaust manifold.
