2008 RXP-X Washers
Ok...sorry if this is posted somewhere else (it is, I've seen other posts).
I just want to know what to do here. I just bought a NOS 2008 RXP-X with 0 hrs (hopefully the guy didn't diddle with the computer to reset it)
Anyway...I'm reading on here that the metal supercharger washer STILL break up!! Should I be replacing these asap or just wait for the SC rebuild?

you'll get both answers on here for sure! i myself have kept the stockers for 51hrs of hard riding, i do have a bov though so im convinced that helps relieve some stress. if you plan on a lot of mods or increased rpm i would put them in. they are surely cheap insurance though and no one will fault you for putting them in. 6 to 1 half a dozen the other!

There way better then the ceramic washers and have much better track record. There still have been some issues with them tho. You have to make a decision. If you are hard on your clutch I would replace them ASAP.
Cheap insurance IMO.

Replace them is my vote, $100 or so bucks well spent. Why take the chance with the stockers when the cost is relatively low compared to the cost of repairing motor damage. enjoy the new ski either way

The metal coating on them has been known to flake off where as the metal washers in the store are solid metal. I would change them asap... very cheap insurance.

Change them.... Riva's are way better and IMO when it comes to these chargers ya gotta use the best parts. Now I put 18 on my OEM one befor I switched to Rivas. They will last longer the 30hr if you maintain slip but cant see the oem washersd lasting 100hr's. my oem washer already have the gold coating wearing off glad i changed them out. Its still the off season so send it to jerry, he'll switch the washer and set it to the right slip.

I don't think they changed the washers in 09....
I echo all the other posts who say replace the OEMs.... very cheap insurance.
While you're at it order a couple oil filters and all the other maintenance items you'll need for the season.
