Bolt On top of the Supercharger

I am trying to remove my supercharger on a 2007 RXT and I have the two bottom bolts removed but I can not get the top bolt to budge. I can not even get a 1/4 inch box wrench around the head of the bolt. I looked at the supercharger removal doc on this site and it says to use a 1/4 box wrench. Is there a special tool to get this bolt out? Looking at one of the bottom removed bolts, I can not get a 1/4 box wrench around those as well. I am just trying to get it off to examine the wear on the clutch washers. Just ONE bolt away from getting this thing out!!! Thanks ahead of time for your assistance.

There is a special BRP tool for that bolt... but it's not needed. You need a 1/4" 12 point box end wrench (if it's a torx bolt???). Most people never put that bolt back in either!

So I am guessing it is ok to run the ski without the top bolt????

I will try to locate one of those wrenches tomorrow.. a standard wrench did nothing...

06+ does not take 1/4 as they are not reverse torx.(atleast not the ones I have worked on) Cant remember exact size. What size did you use to remove the other 2? 8mm?

Hmm, could have sworn the later years had a different bolt. Maybe just 06's. Now that you mention it I think they went back to the reverse torx in 07.
