Question 99 GP1200 Primer Install Keeping Fuel Selector

I have mounted my primer plunger in the fuel selector knob location. I had just planned to zip tie the fuel selector knob up under the cowling, and tap into the reserve line before the selector knob, thinking this would allow me to maintain my reserve for emergencies. Will there be fuel in the resreve line (before the selector) if I have the selector to the "ON" position? All othe lines are stock. Thanks- Jason

Why not just install the primer plunger in the choke hole?

Had planned on doing that until I couldn't figure out how to remove the cable and I would have to drill the hole bigger. Plunger fits perfect on the other side.

I would hope it still works thats how the instructions for the primer kit show to install the line.
