97xp water leak at foot tread rivets
The foot treads have buckled and caused the rivets to loosen and leak in my 97xp. How would you advise fixing it? Should I replace the carpets and rivets? Babbitt's shows that carpet as an obsolete part, also I'm afraid that after I replace the rivets they will still leak. Would I put some glue or epoxy around the rivets?
Should I just remove the treads, fill the holes and put something else down?
Anyone else had this problem?

Replace the stock ones with Hydro turf. They should be the same as the XPL 98----. Just knock the rivets off with a good putty knife and a hammer or wood chisel then epoxy over the holes befor you glue down the mats
