    05 block oiling system question

Does anyone know if you can run an 06+ front oil pump on an 04 block?? OR do you have to run the 04 front pump with the 04 block? I was under the impression that all the blocks for the most part are the same. Any help would be really appreciated.

    Thanks

Ok then can anyone tell me why oil would be coming up the fill tube when the motor is running? If I take the oil cap off while the motor is running oil starts coming out and not just a little oil, its very much under pressure I have never had this happen before so this is a new one on me....anybody?

OK so I found that the blocks are not completely identical, maybe physically on the outside but the oil passage's are different. I can't believe no one has run into this yet

the 06+ style dosen't use the oil pressure jet under the head, and the rocker shaft has different size holes if I'm correct. maybe u need to pull out the pressure jet to run the newer style.

Don't have the oil jet under the head and I already have the new 06+ rockershaft in there. this motor was completely set up for the 06 oiling specs except for the block, its an 04. Something is different about the block.

I believe you have to drill a hole, I have been told before where and how big but cannot remember.
    Les will know.

The oil gallery is different you just can not use it like plug and paly and is not so sample like other people are stating in this forum.

Did you have the 06 crankcase breather on with 06 pump?
