supercharger and turbo together
Just wondering if it is possible to run a supercharger and turbo together??...pretty sure it's not but wanted to see if there is any setup possible to make it work...

Sure it's possible! There are many applications where this is done... There is a Detroit Diesel Engine, the V8 92 TA the uses both a turbo and a roots style blower. I don't know why exactly except to possibly feed a constant higher pressure flow of air to the blower.
I don't really think that it would have much effect on a small CI engine though. And you have to think that these are a PAXTON supercharger type on our skis. Has the same impeller as a turbo, not a ROOTS style blower, with a screw type ram. Although I cant see this as being much different as a twin turbo set up either...
The 92 in the engine name refers to 92 CI per cylinder. THAT'S A BIG FREAKING CYLINDER!!!! Add up the 8 of them and your talking about a 736 CI engine... OH yeah, its a 2 stroke also!!! That's why it needs to be force fed air the way it does... Don't really think you would even notice a difference on a ski.. Maybe more torque??? But would the gain be worth the cost???
