    crank 2 seal conversion

    rebuilding engine 1200.
    look at converting to 2 seal pto end, as later cases after 2001 have 2 seals. the later seals have a flange that fits the old circlip retaining groove on single seal cases. will upload pics.

    the last 2 pic is the conversion !!!!! any views please .
    the only thing i can see is the .extra seal running dry. could mod top case with channel to lube. but if seal fails. it makes the next seal not a seal. the only thing i can see to do. is put some grease between the 2 seals to lube the extra 1

    I don't think you need to worry about the second seal running dry. It's basically the same setup that used on the 650-785 engines, and those seem to work, just fine. However, as you mentioned, do pack some grease in between the seals if you decide to give it a try.
