    Motocross Track

Hey guys, I know their is a wide variety of people on this site so I figured I would ask. Has anyone built a motocross track before? This weekend my buddy and I are going to build one. He has 200+ acres so land is not a problem. Wanted it set up with 4 straight aways 10 feet wide and jumps and banked corners. We are dredging his pond so we will have plenty of dirt to work with. Also we will have a excavator for part of the day. Any tips would be helpful. I heard putting tires at the tops of the banks in the corners. Any idea how big to make jumps and angles leading up to them? We want it to be practical for snowmobiles and dirtbikes. I know doing that isnt going to make the best track ever but would like to get something set up. Thanks guys.

I have but it dpends on your riding level. If you want it safe for beginners and also want the more experienced to have fun build big table tops being that dirt is not an issue

yea i was thinking about 1 table top, one double so when we get decent, 1 whoops section, and then one straight away all with banked corners. The pond has already been dredged once and have all that dirt. There probably is enough to build the track with what we have now. So dirt is no issue.

lmfao yes it is the same friend. Its his property but i get to use the track... and I am going to be pretty much watching the backhoe operator work haha. Not really much you can do building large jumps with a shovel and wheelbarrow.

Make a long straight with woops (and a flat path outside to avoid them at first).

Very the whoop size and duration. By the end of summer grass will grow over the flat section.
