Fzr one way clutch sprag came apart

I took it out of a customers FZR with 30 hours on it the one way clutch sprag cage broke all apart and also chewed up the hub and gear where the sprag rides. Also going to add a R&D shaft and the R&D upgrade bushing.

I think i know of a sprag from a trans that will work i will keep you guys up to date when i have it come in.

If you beef-up the clutch, does that just make an inherently weak shaft weaker???

Was that the high boost E-Tech wheel Jim?

The SC shaft is one problem the one way clutch is another problem if you put a wheel i would recommend to upgrade the shaft and bushings no matter what.

That is not the 18 pound wheel that he was using.

Jim does the shrapnel stay trapped up front or does it fall down into the oil pan also?

    new clutch coming soon

due to two clutch failures on to different skis both with under 20 hours were currently in the process of building a totally new clutch system that should hold up to the punishment of closed coarse and high performance rec riding. We should have a ski up and running with one in a few weeks so will post results.
