08 speedo display limits
Let me start by saying I know the speedometer isn't accurate. But what I noticed today is that the speedo tops out at 70 mph (both digital and the digital gauge). I'm getting 66 on the GPS, but at about 62 MPH on the GPS, the speedo hits 70 and stays there. I pull out 4 more MPH and the speedo just stays at 70. Is there a limit there?
I know it's kind of pointless, but I at least have an idea of accurate speed based on the dream-ometer's lies. But when it stops at 70, I can't really tell.

They all stop at 70 mph... whether your doing it or not, thats another story.

Then why show 80 on the display???
Or I guess a better question would be is there any way to make the speedo more accurate. My old 03 GTX SC was surprisingly accurate.

Probably for the same reason that my truck displays 120... but yet only runs 100 Who knows... just use a gps if your that concerned with accurate speed

Many of us use these. Just wrap them around the handlebar.
