    xp800 vs waveraider 1100

how do the XP800s fair against the waveraider 1100s?? My buddy has two of them and he's gonna be in town in a few weeks. Are these things that much faster than a stock XP800??

The XP is much more nimble. I have heard the waveraiders can get a little scary at high speed and have been known to make erratic direction changes.

    Here are the stats

    XP
    434 lbs dry
    110 hp
    est 57 max speed

    Waveraider
    540 lbs dry
    110 hp
    56.5 max speed

I don't think the raider will touch it as far as handling or jumping....maybe I'm biased

I used to ride with friends that had raider 1100's and stock vs stock they couldnt keep up as far as turning and carving they were always taking wide turns. now on smooth water we about were even. those raiders with some engine work made a hell of a drag boat.

I'm not sure if his is stock or not. He claims it goes just over 60mph. I'm adding a spec 2 pipe, prop and grate probably this weekend, so hopefully that will level it out.

    I looked a stock 800 xp runs 56.5 mph.
    A 1100 raider ran 58 mph.
Also the XP toped out fully modified at 63 mph or so the 1100 toped out at 70 mph fully modified. So in a sight line the 1100 is clearly faster.
The XP is going to turn 10 times better than the 1100 the 1100 was built to go straight.
I have the best of both worlds I can turn and burn.

My buddy has a raider 1100, 800 is faster out of the hole and they are about even top end. The 800 will turn circles around th ebig raider!

I was on the lake for a heads up drag race in 1995 with Andy Lohr on my uncle's raider 1100 and another local on a xp800. The xp pulled it out of the hole and in the midrange the raider pulled it back and was 1-2mph faster on top. His ski radared new at 59mph. We never got to radar the 800 then but the next year my 96 ran 57+

you should think about getting flame arrestors and rejet. the grate will slow you down on smooth water but your better off with one in the chop. i'd also recommend a solas xo prop or send your's to impros and tell them what mods you have.
