    gti upgrade

hey guys, i got a aluminum housing to upgrade my 06 gti from its plastic pump, i should buy a aligment tool right,my plastic pump housing doesnt need any shims, is the tool the only way to find out , or can i assume that if it doesnt need any now it wont need any later??

Somoene correct me if I am wrong, but there are no shims just for the pump. The pump shoe that mounts to the hull has shims, but the aluminum pump bolsts right to the pump shoe. It should just be a straight bolt on. You got it off a GTI rental? Those are the only ones that have aluminum pumps.
