Whats everyones opinion on waterbox mod?

Hey guys, I have been throwing back and forth on doing the water box mod to my ski, but not 100% shure yet, what do you guys think? I have a 07 RXP
    3 inch riva air intake
    Fizzle Intercooler
    GenII SC Wheel
    15/20 Solas prop
    42's
    Riva Rear Exhaust
    Ride Plate Holes Filled

Is it worth it or not? Thanks guys!!

IMO yes its worth it..Youll see an RPM increase and the sound is second to none,if you like it loud that is....

+1 ...matter of fact I just swapped my gutted/shorty stock waterbox for Scotts Riva Waterbox and i tell you what; the modded stock sounds way meaner than Rivas (probably because the Riva has baffles my guess). Another thing I noticed was that the modded stock seems to eject the water out sooner than the Riva when on the hose (again maybe because the Riva may have baffles inside) Anybody know if this holds true ?

KC, from what i had seen in the Rivas VS the gutted stocker is when Riva built theres they brought the pipe down into the box about 1 to 1 1/2 inches..This will help trap and keep the water in the box for cooling therefore muffling the sound some..No baffles in the Rivas..

    TDR

How does the TDR sound? I have never heard one. Does it have baffles?

I loved the sound of my stock modded box. Definitely sounded better than my friends Riva box. Do it!

I love the TDR boxes..My wifes ski has the old "greenbox" which was built by Tony and i converted over to the 08 box this year..No baffles or restrictions for water..Ive been told many times by the guys we ride with that they can hear us way before they can see us...

By doing the mod its where you drill the three holes in it like the link posted under the how to? I could not compleatly gut it, right?

Gotcha !!! that would explain why it seemed during initial flushing that the modded stock would start ejecting water sooner than the Riva. Tx.
