no fuel in 1 of my carbs

I have a 94 SL 750 stock everything, except the triple pump and oil block off

so i got everything together today. wasn't to bad. started to prime the system with the plugs out, just to make sure everything was good. i noticed no fuel on the PTO side carb, the middle and mag side had fuel dripping in consistently. i took the carbs off and inspected the carb and all looks good except maybe the diaphragm , looked a little to big/stretched, not sure if it seated properly.

now after doing a search, i read that if the carbs drip at idle that the needle and seat are worn.

so what is my problem with? pto carb not showing any fuel or the other 2 dripping fuel?

also on the low speed screw the adjustment cap fell off 1 of the screws, and the caps only allow a little adjustment, my manual says 1/2 turn out, but no of them were like this, more like 1 to 1-1/4 turns

i just did the oil block off. so i am running a 40:1 mix

    High Speed screws:

    Mag: 7/8 turns
    middle 3/8 turns
    5/8 turns

    Low Speed with caps off

    all 1 turn out

It sounds to me liike you need to rebuild the carbs, not just clean them.

While you're in there, get new needles and seats too. (they don't come with the rebuild kits) Use only genuine Mikuni rebuild kits.

well i really don't want to spend $140 on a rebuild kit, to redo the carbs, i;ve never used a rebuild carb kit for anything. but these damn ski's have so many issues!

I see SBT sells needle and seat kits for $10 each, since the carbs are clean, and the diaphragm's look good. i was thinking of just swapping the needle and seats.

i'm guessing my pop off pressure has something to do with it also.

Your carbs are about 15 yrs old, and most likely never been touched.

$140 to rebuild the carbs is a small price to pay for years of RELIABLE service.

Compare that to $80 for a single piston kit. $60 to bore a cylinder. $30 for gaskets. And the time your down repairing it during the peak season.

    I'm just sayin'........

And ONLY use genuine Mikuni carb parts. Trust me on this.

    ok thanks

whats this pop off pressure all about? i was doing some searching and my mind was everywhere when reading it. how important is this? what issues does it cause? i am really considering selling it at this point. i'm just worried this thing is going to blow up again, even though i took all the precautions so far, but with all the horror stories i've read... not to sure.
