Question about measuring oil when doing oil change

I have the same oil extractor that Jerry sells. Here is what it looks like:

My question is, how do I know how much oil I have pulled out? There is no measurement on the side of where the oil collects. Do I have to pull out as much as I can and then pour it into a measuring cup or something similar so I know how much to put back in the ski?

I could never figure this out.

In your link it states: To measure how much you have extracted, each calibrated line on the wall is about one liter with a total capacity of 6 liters.

1 liter = 1.056 quarts... so pretty much yes!

I have a scale and I weigh the oil I pull out, and put back in the same amount.
