    I Think Were Getting A Ultra 260x ??????

    So my younger brother decided to join the jet ski club but wants to get a Kawi ( i'm a yama dude sorry) But regardless we might be getting a brand new Ultra 260x this weekend. So my question is since i have never owned a Kawasaki (my dad had an X2 but that was ages ago LoL)..... I wanted t to know if there are any things i should be on the look out for or any unforsen problems this particular modle has ? Any and all input would be highly appreciated

    Have the coonass engineering mod done to the pump shaft.

    Ok, how critical is this for the 250...? I have an '07 and plan on getting it done, but have other things I was going to do first...

    Kawasaki put a second bearing on the front of the pump shaft in the 2010 model due to the issues people have been having. While it arguably not a perfect fix, it is better than it was. If it was me I would just buy the warranty and call it a day. My '07 250X has 130hrs on the stock bearing - just went to dealer who pulled the pump, checked the bearing, and said it was still fine.

    I don't think that the 260's have the pump problem

    All 250-260's have the problem. In 2010 they went with 2 front bearings instead of 1. Still to have peace of mind the 2010's will need the mod. As far as "just let the warrenty handle it"; I would much rather have a factory motor than a dealer "rebuilt" one. As far as how critical..... Needs to be done before any other mod as far as I'm concerned.

    True. Not only that, but if it happens to me, that means it's riding season and I won't want to wait for weeks during the season to wait to get it fixed. Luckily, I live near Impros.

    Keep in mind if you mod the pump and it does somehow go bad while the mod is installed it may not be covered under warranty. If you just leave it as is then you are covered. That's just my perspective. Has anyone even had a pump failure with a 2010 260X yet? I have not heard of one personally.

    wow weird issue but naptownkawi makes a valid point if I do this mod and it still fails wuold the warranty cover it and has anyone actualy have one fail on them already?
